Our community is passionate about becoming the kind of church where anyone can feel welcome. We believe that a church "service" should be more than merely self-service, but an opportunity to reach others. We believe we have been given the opportunity to reach Providence, to bring all people together under the gospel of Jesus Christ. Come join us!
In the Book of Isaiah, God said "my house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations" (Is 56:7). We know that becoming a multicultural congregation takes serious effort. It means not only welcoming people from different life experiences, but more than that, being willing to listen and then be transformed by those diverse voices as well. So we welcome everyone!
Childcare is provided during service by our parents and volunteers. We are committed to seeing the next generation raised up in the love and acceptance of God's embrace. Everyone is encouraged to volunteer their time so that we may "carry each other's burdens" (Gal 6:2) and "outdo one another in showing honor" (Rom 12:10).
Our services start with worship songs in English, but we also know the importance of seeing different cultural expressions of God's love. Our weekly liturgy includes a performance by the Cambodian Choir, while our English sermons are translated live through a personal receiver system. These features are some of the ways that our church lives up to our "international" calling.
How can we look to Jesus in the midst of everyday life? What does it mean to be faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in this time? How do we “make disciples of all nations?” As we seek the message of Jesus Christ, we look to the Bible not only for teaching, but to understand and share the message of grace given for us.
